Fukuoka has been selected as Expedia’s Detour Destinations for 2025!
Travel Company The Expedia Group unveiled their Unpack ’25 list, and Fukuoka was included on their list of “Detour Destinations”!
Fukuoka is full of delicious food, unspoiled nature, and a rich history. All of these combine to give the city a distinct identity even when compared to other cities in Japan. The proximity of the airport to the city is also a great bonus.

FUKUOKA HAKATA YATAI
As dusk falls, over 100 food stalls donned with colorful drapes open for business around the city.
