Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport FUKUOKA, a plaza for encounters and experiences
The Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Fukuoka was built on the spot of the former Fukuoka City Fruit and Vegetable Market. Completed in April 2022 the premise covers an area of over 8 hectares and features over 222 shops inside, 57 of them coming to Kyushu for the first time. The facility is comprised of 9 squares, offering a variety of ways to have fun. As one of Fukuoka's new premier shopping and experience purveyors they pride themselves as being “Encounter & Experience Plaza – A town of ‘interaction’ and ‘connection'”. Full-size RX-93ff v Gundam Standing Statue, creating a buzz even prior to opening!
At the entrance facing Chikushi-dori Avenue, a 20-metre-high life-size RX-93ff ν (New) Gundam statue welcomes you!
It is the symbol of LaLaport Fukuoka. At night, the device is lit up in a variety of unique ways so be sure to pay the Gundamn a visit at night. It is rare to see a Gundam from behind so now you can see the cool design from many different angles.
Gundam Park Fukuoka is an entertainment complex consisting of three areas; ‘GUNDAM SIDE-F’, ‘VS PARK WITH G’ and ‘namco’.
Information related to the life-size RX-93ff ν Gundam statue and a video detailing its production leading up to LaLaport's opening are being exhibited.
VS PARK WITH G is a sports entertainment area where visitors can enjoy hands-on activities in collaboration with Gundam.

FUKUOKA TOY MUSEUM First in Kyushu
The Fukuoka Toy Museum is an educational museum with approximately 8,000 wooden toys on display, and is the first facility of its kind in Kyushu. Visitors can actually play with wooden toys while enjoying the warm and inviting atmosphere. Children and adults alike will be fascinated by the amazing ways wood can be used to make toys and in this hands-on museum.
There are many interesting toys and neat discoveries to make here, including a Fukuoka ramen stall made of wood and unique souvenirs.
Sports Park You can enjoy sports on the rooftop
On the rooftop of LaLaport Fukuoka, there is a field where you can enjoy various sports and physical activities. The large, open field offers a 200 m track, tennis courts, a 3×3 basketball court, and a large-screen public viewing area, where you can enjoy a variety of sports and events.
MARKET 351 An evolutionary model from the old market
This place is named after its address, 351 Naka 6-chome, where the Fukuoka City’s Fruit and Vegetable Market used to be located. There is a shopping area that offers fresh vegetables, meat and fish displayed on turret trucks. In the eat-in area you can enjoy the best of the region's local delicacies!
KidZania Fukuoka Children take the lead here!
KidZania Fukuoka, a facility where children can experience what it is like to work in a variety of different careers, opened at Lalaport Fukuoka on 31 July (Sun) 2022. There are pavilions set up by real companies that allow children to experience being a part of that job and providing services. In the pavilions visitors can wear job appropriate uniforms and costumes while experiencing providing relevant services, making it a great introduction to how society functions. If you work, you’ll get paid in the special currency ‘kidzo’.
