"Ekiben", or station bentos, are special lunch boxes made for eating at stations or on trains. Using traditional cooking methods, they are packed with colorful dishes. They are popular as "traveling local cuisine" because they allow you to easily enjoy the unique flavors of the region. Ekiben have become an essential part of Japanese food culture, loved by many people, whether as meals during travel on bullet trains and local trains, and as souvenirs from tourists spots.
At the "Famous Ekiben and Delicacies National Festival", more than 100 types of ekiben from across Japan will be gathered at the venue. You can enjoy ekiben and other delicacies from all over the country while staying in Fukuoka City.

In response to the damage caused to the Noto Peninsula last year, the Noto Nakajima Station shop will sell the "Noto Nakajima Ekiben - Winter Luxury Noto Oyster Rice" (1,850 yen), which focuses on ingredients from Noto such as "Noto oysters" and "Noto vegetables, Nakajima pickles."
