Beginning serialization in the Weekly Shonen Jump in 2014, mangaka Horikoshi Kouhei-san’s My Hero Academia became a big hit. Ending in August of 2024, the series remains very popular, with fans from around the globe continuing to enjoy the anime and media made for it. Last year the My Hero Academia Original Illustration Exhibit was a massive success, selling out in both Tokyo and Osaka. The same exhibit is now coming to Kyushu for the first time and will be available at the Fukuoka Mitsukoshi building from April 11 until June 14.

This exhibit takes spectators down a trip down memory lane 10 years in the making. From Horikoshi-san’s manuscript one can relive and experience the story of protagonist Deku and Midoriya Izuku’s journey to become true heroes by tracing their path through the series. Then, with the extensive help of the author, all sorts of special material related to the series has been assembled at an unprecedented scale. The artistic talent is evident in the many drawings sourced from throughout the series, and there are many precious and unique items and documents on display that fans must see for themselves.

In addition, there will be behind-the-scenes stories and commentary on the work by Horikoshi-san himself.
