Fukuoka welcomes its 13th Oktoberfest! The only recognized beer festival in Japan by the Bavarian Beer Association!

10 days devoted to German beer at Fukuoka’s 13th Oktoberfest!

The only Oktoberfest in the world to be officially recognized by the Bavarian Beer Association. 

Fukuoka Oktoberfest 2024 is the 13th Oktoberfest to be held in Fukuoka, and is modelled after the world-famous Bavarian festival that started in Munich in 1810. The Fukuhaku area of the city is known for its love of festivals, and in 2010 the event was brought to Fukuoka where it has since become one of the most popular events during this time of the year. 

In 2015 the Bavarian Beer Association (Bayerischer Brauerbund e.V.) recognized the format and content of the event as genuine, and of all the Oktoberfest celebrations held around the world, Fukuoka’s is the only one to be recognized by the organization. 

Authentic German beers, home cooking, and music

As an officially recognized Oktoberfest event, one can expect to find all the hallmarks of an authentic Bavarian beer festival. Well-known beers like Paulaner and 16 different beers barrels, beer cocktails, wine, and German home cooking are all planned for the event. 

Of course, no authentic Oktoberfest would be complete without an Alpinschlawiner band present! Prepare your dancing feet for these 10 days of fun and libations!

As the event is held under a large floored tent, of course it goes without saying that no matter the weather the festival will go on! The event will also feature cashless payment methods. Credit cards, electronic money, and QR code payment will all be accepted.
