Meat is both the beginning and the end…

Welcome to this delicious and culinary festival that’s all about meat! 

Beginning with meat, and ending with meat. 
From July 11th to (Thursday) until July 15th (Monday・Holiday), the appropriately named Meat Festival will be held at [Nikuniku Park on the Nakasu Haruyoshi Bridge]. 23 different vendors and stalls from both within Fukuoka and from elsewhere will be selling their choicest cuts at the event. There will even be items limited to the festival it seems… 

The Nikuniku Park (nikuniku literally translating into meaty) has been held to great success at various locations throughout Japan including Kitakyushu, Hiroshima, and Ibaraki. This year’s event will mark the 9th time it has been held on the Haruyoshi Bridge. Slowly but surely this event is becoming a mainstay and tradition in the Nakasu area.

The 3 Special Features of the Event

① 23 stores! This is an event all about meat.

Meat is loved by many people, from children to adults, as a reward or a gift to yourself for your hard work. A total of 23 popular restaurants from inside and outside of the prefecture will offer their signature dishes!

② Event-exclusive dishes!

Not only will you be able to eat each store’s signature item, but there will also be items unique to the occasion that you won’t be able to eat otherwise!

③ Using public space effectively to create fun and energy!

Fukuoka City and the Hakata ward will be collaborating to help promote the utilization of the public space on Haruyoshi Bridge, an area deemed highly important by Fukuoka City’s “Riverfront NEXT” initiative.
