From March 21st (Friday) until May 6th (Tuesday・Holiday), The Special Exhibition, “Let’s Play with Picture Books” will be held at the Fukuoka City Science Museum in Ropponmatsu.

This special exhibition seeks to nurture the vivid imaginations of children with interactive picture book exhibits featuring well-known titles such as “Miki’s First Errand” and “Mr. Crow’s Bakery”, which far from being exclusively enjoyed by children are popular with people of all ages. In each corner of the exhibit parents and children can have fun while answering questions prepared in the program, making it interactive fun for everyone. A workshop has also been especially set up within the event space, allowing visitors to create handicrafts together with their children. We also recommend this event to visitors to Fukuoka that may be interested in learning more about the world of picture books in Japan.

This event provides both a unique way for children to have fun while learning, and to adults a hint on how to raise children through the timeless messages of these beloved books. Whether you are coming with children or not, there will definitely be a take-home message or souvenir for you to cherish from this event.
