Toka Ebisu Shrine Autumn Grand Festival (Daikoku Festival) 2026
The Daikoku Festival, Toka Ebisu Shrine's autumn grand festival, returns this year! Following its huge success last year, the festival has been extended to three days! Come and enjoy the packed programme of events.
Toka Ebisu Shrine is hosting the second edition of its autumn grand festival from Friday 2 October to Sunday 4 October. Despite being a one-day event, last year's inaugural Daikoku Festival attracted around 3,000 visitors.
This year, the festival has been extended to three days! Under the divine blessings of Daikoku-sama, the father of Ebisu-sama and the deity believed to forge meaningful connections between people, the Special Prayer Ceremony for Good Connections, held once a year, will take place.
A variety of other events will also be held throughout the three-day festival, including the illumination of around 300 dedicated lanterns, calligraphy on a giant 10-metre panel, performances by Japanese drum groups and samurai troupes, and the Hakata Odori dance performed by geigi (geisha) from the Hakata Kenban geisha house. This vibrant festival brings together talented professionals active throughout Fukuoka in the fields of art, music, hands-on experiences, and culinary culture, creating an enjoyable celebration for all.
Additionally, all offerings received for the "Kanaetai" (Wish-Granting Sea Bream), a special festival item available exclusively during the Daikoku Festival, will be donated in full to support communities affected by the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake.

Free admission.
No advance reservation required.
