Fukuoka Castle Night Market 

A gathering of some of Fukuoka’s best eateries is coming to the site of the former courthouse!

Eateries of Fukuoka, assemble! Where the best food and exciting entertainment meet in the ideal venue, this is the first edition of the Fukuoka Castle Night Market!

The Fukuoka Castle Night Market is a new event meant to showcase some of the local stores and restaurants that have been making waves in Fukuoka. Over 40 drink and kitchen cars are gathering just in time for Golden Week. Expect a carnival-esque atmosphere from the round shape of the venue and vivid lighting that are planned!

Once you pass through the illuminated entrance, food, games, workshops, and shopping all await you. The presence of a DJ and even a request corner promise to make the atmosphere one to remember.

Encounters with people, fun, experiences, and new and interesting items are all planned! Most of the stores here will prioritize entertainment to help make the event as exciting as possible. On the stage there will be a DJ who plays at a modest volume and various different events. Request your own music as well as you enjoy peeking about what’s on offer, food and otherwise!

Illuminated gareway and other objects

By the entrance to the venue there will be a brightly illuminated gate made up of various shapes and objects set up as for optimal photo taking. An enormous Japanese style lantern that measures 2.5 meters x 2.5 meters has a nostalgic charm for Japanese visitors, and will truly make foreign visitors feel the exotic feel that is unique to Japanese style night markets. There are also plans to place two large illuminated objects inside the venue itself (tentative). The soothing light of these shapes will help turn this former courthouse into a brilliant sight to behold.
