Enjoy German food and drink at Reisen Park!

Since 2010 Oktoberfest has been held at Reisen Park, with this year being the 16th year (14th to be held) of the popular autumnal tradition in Fukuoka. For 10 exciting days, one can enjoy a typical German/Bavarian atmosphere in a neighborhood brimming with Fukuoka’s traditional culture. 

A giant tent brought in from Germany will be set up on the venue, making this festival as close to the genuine article as possible. In addition to 56 varieties and 16 different brands of German beer, sausage and other delectable local cuisine will round out the offerings. Featuring live music by the Alpinschlawiner Band from Nuremberg in the Bayern area, the atmosphere is as close to the authentic experience as possible! A special performance by MARIA & Alpenbaum is scheduled to take place on October 24th and 25th as well. 

The event starts from 16:00 on weekdays and from 11:00 on weekends, with it ending in either case at 22:00. This is the perfect way to round off a day of sightseeing in the city- a bit of nighttime entertainment with a German twist! Located right next to Kushida Shrine, the Reisen area is filled with traditional culture, and is the perfect spot for this intersection of international and Japanese cultures.
