[Notice] Traffic Information Regarding the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake (7 August, 2026)

The earthquake that struck the Kumamoto region on Tuesday, 28 July, has caused delays, cancellations, and other disruptions in the operations of some public transportation services. Operations are gradually resuming and returning to normal schedules.
Additionally, the Kyushu Shinkansen, which temporarily suspended service between Hakata and Kumamoto stations, has resumed operations as of Friday, July 31 and service between Shin-Minamata Station and Kagoshima-Chuo Station resumed on Friday, August 7.
*Restoration work is currently underway for the section between Kumamoto and Shin-Minamata stations.
