Tenjin/Yakuin Area | Other,Night TimeA Night of Musical Storytelling Echoes in Fukuoka. The Kyushu Piano Performance Group Presents “The Rondo of the Night”
Dates:25 Mar 2026 - 25 Mar 2026
Melodies begin to sound as the sun sets. Coming to Fukuoka, the Rondo of the Night.
Quiet yet beautiful, the delicate notes of the piano can be heard in Fukuoka once night falls. Performances featuring piano, flute, and vocal are coming to the ACROS Fukuoka Round Hall, bringing their dulcet tones as the Rondo of the Night concert.
Fukuoka-born composer Yoshida Mineaki composed these pieces, and they are said to most closely represent his musical ideal. These disparate musical performances will come together as a single work of art, inviting audiences into a world of aesthetic contemplation.
The program covers wide ground and includes original pieces of classical music, flute performances, modern compositions for piano, and even vocal-lead songs.
Ballads for piano, a piece titled “Elegy of the Aegean Sea”, and a sonatina in three impressions form the core of a series of performances that breathe the spirit of classical music in updated arrangements. Then, pieces such as “With You” and “Rondo of the Night” will spin their own musical tales that are sure to resonate with individual listeners in differing ways.
*Depending on circumstances the program may be subject to change.
Once night falls, the hustle and bustle of the city begins to settle, and this musical performance could become an excellent travel memory for visitors or much-needed refresh for those living here. Sink into the gently comforting lull of the music as you take in this special stage.
