Bathed in sound and light, experience the aquarium at night!

Adding a touch of the romantic to summer nights in Fukuoka, Marine World Uminonakamichi will be holding its special Night at the Aquarium event again this year. Surrounded by the sea in the quiet of the night, this summer-only event will allow you to appreciate a different, more magical side of the aquarium from daytime.    

Once the clock strikes 18:00, the aquarium’s lights shift into night-mode. Nocturnal animals come to life in surprising ways as the sun sets. Of the night-exclusive shows on offer, The Light and Sound Sardine show is definitely not to be missed! The sight of countless sardines mingling together with light and sound seems like a scene out of a dream. 

Marine World Uminonakamichi is filled with points of interest for visitors to enjoy! Access from Tenjin, Fukuoka Airport, and Hakata Station is convenient, it is easy to stop by while sightseeing in the city. With the aquarium open until 21:00, there is also plenty of time to fit a visit into your schedule. 

In addition, if you purchase advance tickets, you can enter the aquarium smoothly without having to line up at the ticket window. Re-entry is also permitted, so you can freely plan your itinerary in conjunction with sightseeing in the surrounding area. Furthermore, visitors are allowed to bring food and drinks into the museum, giving the event a casual picnic atmosphere.

Night at the Aquarium: 18:00 ~ 21:00 (Last entry at 20:00)

Elementary schoolers: 1,200 yen
