For two days on 26 and 27 September, the entire Tenjin area will be transformed into a festival venue!
‘Music City Tenjin’, one of Kyushu’s largest live music events, is taking place!

Fukuoka’s ‘Tenjin’ district is currently the hottest spot, many young people enjoy here and undergoing major changes. ‘MUSIC CITY TENJIN’ is one of Kyushu’s largest live music events, featuring special stages popping up all over Tenjin, transforming the entire Fukuoka Tenjin area into one huge festival venue. Don’t miss it!

The theme for the MCT 2026 main visuals is ‘Shout of the Soul’.
We have selected 31 entries from the photographs and illustrations submitted by you all to create the main visuals. The selected works will feature on the official MCT 2026 poster, website, social media and as decorative visuals on the day of the event. Hope you enjoy them alongside the music!

● Iwataya Main Store: Tenjin 90th Anniversary Stage

This 2026, sees the launch of a special event, the ‘Iwataya Main Store: 90th Anniversary of Opening in Tenjin Stage’, to mark the 90th anniversary of the Iwataya Main Store’s opening in Tenjin! The event will take place over two days only, with Kirameki-dori transformed into a pedestrianised zone for the occasion. Set against the backdrop of Tenjin, the neighbourhood where Iwataya Main Store has been a fixture for 90 years. These will be two special days where visitors, the local community and artists come together through music!

● MCT ONE FUKUOKA BLDG. Stage

A total of 10 analogue turntables have been installed in shops throughout ONE FUKUOKA BLDG. ! DJ events featuring analogue records will be held at various shops at different times of the day. Why not wander around the building and enjoy a variety of music?
