Vincent Van Gogh. At the age of 27 this young Dutchman set out to make his way as an artist. While his life ended in tragic obscurity at the age of 37, he left an oeuvre of roughly 2,000 pieces behind, solidifying his standing as an artist of singular talent. In this exhibition, cutting-edge digital technology will be utilized in order to breathe light into Van Gogh’s artwork, providing spectators with an engrossing view into the life and artwork of this father of modern art. 

In this exhibit many of Van Gogh’s pieces are transformed into as "moving paintings”, with decisions on how to represent the pieces based on the contents of the many letters left by Van Gogh. These moving paintings then come to life to form a seamless and experiential digital art exhibit.

Befitting an artist of Van Gogh’s stature, the digital art production is in especially good hands. MDK is a digital art studio that has produced over 50 CGI (3DCG animation, VFX (special effects), etc.) works, including the "Resident Evil®" film adaptation, mainly for the Hollywood film industry. With their know-how and skill, they are largely responsible for this "New Van Gogh Art Space" where approximately 860 works of Van Gogh from around the world will be exhibited.

Advance tickets are available from 1/31 to 3/14.
Admission is free to children under 3 years old.
