Ohori/Ropponmatsu Area | History & Culture,OtherHaru no Tenshukaku: Springtime Castle Keep Illumination Event 2025 Fukuoka Castle (Maizuru Park)

From March 7th, 2025 (Friday) until the end of the Sakura Festival

For a limited time, the Fukuoka Castle keep will be illuminated in the colors of spring!

A nationally designated cultural landmark, evidence of the glorious Fukuoka Castle exists in the form of the glorious turrets and gates that dot Maizuru Park, but the main castle keep was destroyed, long ago, with only the base remaining.

Fukuoka Sakura Festival to coincide

By holding the castle keep illumination in tandem with the yearly sakura festival, this year’s cherry blossom season promises to be a special one! We hope that you will visit the park and enjoy the magnificent scenery of the illuminated castle.
