Fukuoka Toy Museum

Welcome to the Toy Museum in LaLaport Fukuoka

This hands-on, interactive museum uses an abundance of cedar and cypress wood from Fukuoka Prefecture, allowing visitors to feel the warmth of the wood. The museum displays some 8,000 toys from Japan and around the world, which can be picked up and played with freely.

This is a space for toys and play that places importance on 'wood education', where children can touch, feel and grow with wooden materials. Visitors can take home simple handmade toys through various workshop, such as the handmade workshop experience where parents and children make them together, or the scroll saw experience where children can leave their handprints as a memory using the latest Swiss-made equipment.

There are also games, toys and workshops for adults alone.
