Tenjin/Yakuin Area | Food & Drink,Nature & Outdoors,Architecture,Other Suijo Park
It is the first small-scale neighborhood park in Fukuoka City, and was established in 1924 as a commemorative project for the wedding of the then Crown Prince Hirohito (later Emperor Showa), and opened as a memorial park on the day of his wedding. In July 2016, it reopened as a center of activity and relaxation for citizens, utilizing the waterfront space that flows through the area.
The park offers many places to sit, including a space on the roof and a long bench in the shape of a symbolic sloping ball, providing a comfortable resting spot. You can also enjoy a meal while enjoying the view of Naka River at the restaurant facility "Ship's Garden" in the park.
Parking and bicycle parking are not available in the park.
There are no restrooms. Please use the nearby Tenjin Central Park.
