01 London Bus Cafe A bus turned into a cafe!?

A red double-decker bus London Bus turned into a café. Gelato made with no additives by Yamanaka Dairy Farm in Sasebo is a local specialty. There are a lot of good subjects for photos, like the view of the ocean from the bus while you eat.

There are benches on the second level of the bus. You can enjoy a meal while looking out at the view from there. It is a very open and comfortable space

Access from Tenjin
[Car]Get on the Fukuoka Highway Tenjinkita ramp then get off at the Imajuku interchange on the Nishi Kyushu Expressway. Takes about 40 minutes
[Bus]From Showa Bus stop Tenjin 4 Chome take the bus bound for Maebaru via Ito・shima-go Tenjin 3 Chome to Shima Eigyosho-mae (Maebaru Eigyousho) [takes approx. 55 minutes] Change to the bus bound for Ito Eigyosho, the take it for 6 minutes until Nogita. Get off at the Nogita stop, and walk for 5 minutes.

02 Shikaumi Shrine
A shrine that watches over traffic on the Genkai Sea.

The three gods of the sea, the Watatsumi, are deified here, and believed to have protected the seas since ancient times. It is the grand shrine of all sea shrine in the country. People still visit to pray for safety at sea. The view of the sea through the torii is astounding.

The shrine dedicated to the three Watatsumi gods. There are also 12 lesser shrines and one monument with an ins- cribed poem on the grounds (Manyo Kahi #1)

Rokkakuko has over 10,000 deer antlers in it

Access from Tenjin
[Car]Get on the Fukuoka Highway Tenjinkita ramp then get off at Kashiihama. Go towards Shika Island on Umi no Nakamichi. Takes about 38 minutes.
[Train] Approx. 6 minutes from Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station to JR Hakata Station on the subway. Change trains at JR Kashii Station and get off at Saitozaki Station. It takes approx. 12 minutes from the Saitozaki Ekimae stop to the Shikanoshima stop on the Nishitetsu Bus. Get off, and walk for 10 minutes.
