The Fukuoka City Science Museum will be hosting a special exhibition, Noritake Suzuki: ‘The Big Pinch Exhibition!’, from Saturday 11 July 2026.

‘Oh no!’ People encounter all sorts of crises every day. The picture book series *The Big Pinch* (Shogakukan), created by picture book author Noritake Suzuki after drawing inspiration from his son’s own ‘big pinch’, struck a chord with many readers and became a massive bestseller. The latest instalment, *The Big Pinch Picture Book 3*, was published in April 2025, and its popularity consistantly going on. Also, the exhibition Noritake Suzuki: ‘The Big Pinch Exhibition!’ has been touring the country since summer 2025!

A variety of crises await visitors at the exhibition venues. Not only are the crises featured in the picture books brought to life in 3D, but visitors can also step into the works, ponder them, or even leap right into them. Both children and adults can enjoy these scenarios, and visitors can have fun together. Please come and experience the world of ‘pinch Entertainment’, as Noritake Suzuki whose motto is ‘Finding joy expands your world’ takes on a new challenge.

Admission

General: 1,500 yen
Junior high and senior high school students: 1,000 yen
Ages 4 to primary school pupils: 600 yen
*Free for children aged 3 and under (each guardian aged 18 or over may bring up to two children free of charge)
*Groups of 30 or more paying visitors are entitled to a discount of 100 yen per person. However, this offer does not apply on designated dates.
*Primary school pupils are not permitted to enter unaccompanied. They must be accompanied by a guardian aged 18 or over.

Dates requiring a specific date and time slots: Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays during the exhibition period, as well as from 10 August (Monday) to 14 August (Friday)

・Sales will close once the allocated number of tickets for each time slot on ARTNE Ticket Online has been reached.
Please note that even if you come to the venue, you will not be admitted.
・Same-day tickets will be sold at the venue entrance from 30 minutes before the admission time for each day.
(Tickets for the 9:30 admission will go on sale as soon as the museum opens.)
Tickets can be purchased online via ARTNE Ticket Online at any time up until the designated time.
The Fukuoka City Science Museum does not sell time-specific admission tickets for dates from the day after purchase onwards.
