September is “Fukuoka Music Month”!

Fukuoka aims to help promote itself as a city filled with both music and performing artists as a means of building its brand as a “City of Music”, attracting more visitors, and helping to expand the local music industry.

Every September the Fukuoka Music Month Organizers’ Association helps bring together a wide variety of genres of musical events and concerts under the common banner of “Fukuoka Music Month”, all with an aim to building the “Fukuoka, City of Music” brand.

This year is filled with significant and unique performances and events. This year will mark the 30th, and last, iteration of the “Sunset Live” concert series, “ISLA DE SALSA” will officially feature on the bill of “Fukuoka Music Month” on its 10th anniversary, and “MUSIC CITY TENJIN” will finally be held again for the first time in 5 years.
