This year, JR Hakata Station Plaza and its interior will feature festive attractions themed around Super Mario characters!
The “Main Christmas Tree” and “LED SKY WALK” incorporate elements of Super Mario characters and items.

This year the “Hikari no Machi” will begin at the same time as the yearly Christmas Market. Enjoy the brilliant scenery as you soak in the vibes of a European Christmas Market right here in Fukuoka (The Christmas Market will last until December 25th, 2025).

Fukuoka Lights Festival 2025 – The Circle of Light –

Enjoy Yatai fare and a light that bridges past and present! 

The Fukuoka Lights Festival 2025 – The Circle of Light – is now live in the Fukuoka Castle・Korokan area. The entire Fukuoka Castle area is now being illuminated, with the major motifs being a castle gate and a holy tree that was once said to exist on the castle grounds. For the duration of the event, garden lanterns and projection mapping will illuminate the path from the moat up to the castle’s inner citadel.

The Gnome Forest ACROS Fukuoka Illumination 2025

・Event Period: November 14, 2025 (Friday) – February 1, 2026 (Sunday)
・Hours: 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Ticket sales begin at 5:30 PM on the day)
※Open daily during the event period (Held as scheduled in rain; canceled in severe weather)

One of the largest light events of its kind in Kyushu: the ACROS Fukuoka Illumination.
This time, enter the twinkling Gnome Forest!

This winter ACROS Fukuoka will be partnering with the magical world of Kobito Dukan in a dream collab! Plenty of gnomes, or kobito, will be glowing brightly among the illuminations. There will even be a gnome search, and for those who can find them a special sticker is yours. Enter this world of light in fun for the whole family.

The festival bringing color to the winter nights is back! 

Bathed in the glow of 200,000 light bulbs, the popular winter event Winter Light Fantasy Illumination supported by Chikyujin.jp is returning. From the Mizuho PayPay Dome to the BOSS E・ZO FUKUOKA entertainment facility, the area will be immersed in a magical wintry glow. 

Come for the lighting ceremony as well! 
Experience the brilliant moment the festival comes alive together with athletes from the Softbank Hawks!
