【Spring】Strawberry Picking on [Maemura Farm]

Thanks to Shikanoshima’s warm climate strawberries grown on the island develop a slight acidity and high sugar content, leading them to become irresistibly sweet and a tangy. Starting from March the strawberries become ripe for picking, and Maemura Farm’s offers a 40 minute all you can pick and eat (advance reservation required). Enjoy the delicious Amaou strawberries that you can only find here!

【Spring】Sand Castles and More at [Kyukamura Shikanoshima]

At Kyukamura Shikanoshima (kyukamura roughly translating to village of relaxation) you can rent buckets, shovels, and cute watering cans for free. Not only children, but adults are more than welcome to join the fun! With the nearby beach for a canvas, let nature serve as the perfect outlet for your creativity.

【Summer】Explore the Island’s Waters at [Triton Diving Resort]

The waters of Shikanoshima are beautiful and positively teeming with fish. Here there are plenty of programs for those who want to explore the world beneath the waves. Even those without any diving experience are welcome to try! While snorkeling and skin diving are summer only, but scuba diving with a tank is available year-round. Divers can also rent an underwater camera to have their photo taken as they dive.

The only hot spring facility on the island, it is also open to daytime visitors. The outdoor bath possesses an excellent view. On clear days you can lose yourself in the deep blue of the sky, during sunset watch as the sun descends below the horizon, and at night witness the innumerable stars twinkling in the skies (for those who decide to sleep over???よく分かりません). The mineral-rich waters of the natural hot spring will also help heal you both in mind and body.
